"The greatest challenge to managing health care costs is employees' poor health habits and the biggest obstacle to changing employee behaviors is the lack of employee engagement."
-2010 Employer Survey on Purchasing Value in Health Care Report, National Business Group on Health and Towers Watson.
At EngagementHealth®, we've overcome these obstacles by creating a culture of wellness for our client companies. What does true engagement mean for us?
The previous wellness program provider we utilized had a 'once a year' focus. Most employees were only focused on wellness the day of their screening. They would forget about it until the next year's screening when they found out whether or not they were eligible for an annual monetary wellness incentive. Working with Engagement Health, with its weekly reporting and bi‐weekly monetary incentives, keeps the focus on wellness activities (such as nutrition and exercise) at the forefront of employees' minds throughout the entire year. We believe that this awareness has increased employees' initiative to take a more proactive approach to wellness.
